A note on Medicare;
We provide psychological treatment under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. As such, you may be able to access medicare rebates (both in person or Telehealth sessions) if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care plan referral from your GP. Please note that the referral from your GP needs to be organised prior to our first session together.
Other A's to your Q's;
As session times are in high demand, we require at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be charged. Please note, this is only charged if your appointment time cannot be filled. Sessions that are cancelled on the day or not attended without prior notice will be charged at full fee consultation rates.
When and how do I pay for my consult?
The full consultation fee will be collected at the time of your appointment. Medicare rebates can also be processed on the spot and paid directly into your nominated bank account. Payment can be made by cash, eftpos, direct bank deposit, VISA or MasterCard.
How often will I have sessions?
There is a lot of research to suggest that a few more frequent initial sessions leads to better therapeutic outcomes. Generally, therapy will involve roughly 4 to 6 fortnightly sessions followed by however many maintenance sessions you and your therapist feel is appropriate (usually three weekly to monthly). Each presenting concern will warrant a different treatment approach. The frequency of sessions will be discussed at your initial appointment and can be adjusted as needed.
