Hi! I'm Monique. I'm a Clinical Family Therapist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and the Owner of Ritual Counselling. I work with young adults, couples and families with a focus on relationships, family dynamics, anxiety and trauma. 

I created Ritual to provide an option for people who wanted an alternative to out dated, overly clinical and clunky psychology and counselling practices. I believe that mental health doesn't have to be intimidating and I practice a modern approach that is collaborative, relevant and supportive. 

I would describe my style as evidence based without being stiff and longwinded. I work holistically but I'm certainly not hipster. My approach to therapy is energetic, authentic and full of hope to lead you back to living your best life.

I offer both in person sessions at my practice in Burleigh and online consults for those not so local. 

When I'm not in session, you'll find me drinking far too much coffee, binge listening to podcasts and adventuring with my pigeon pair kids and surfer dude husband.

Family Therapy is an effective intervention for many common stressors and complaints including blending of families (step-parents and siblings), behavioural difficulties in children or navigating key life transitions.
